Pygma strongly believes in transferring skills and capacitating the clients it works with, in every way possible, Pygma will endeavour to transfer skills and capacity every team it works with. To this end, Pygma has provided training on numerous occasions to a regular client on their legislative mandate and operational duties.
Pygma provided regulatory induction training for new employees at a ICT Regulator. The training covered an in-depth introduction to ICT, from a global, continental, regional and local perspective. The training also equipped the team with trends analysis, data management, and regulatory reporting tools.
The group was relatively new to the sector, to this end, Pygma unpacked the mandate of the Regulator and its purpose in fulfilling its legislative obligations. This guided the training into the typical regulatory functions and tools that the team would be expected to utilise in their everyday work.
The training outline covered, economic regulation, technical regulation, spectrum planning, management and allocation, licensing processes and compliance management, quality of service management, universal service and access, regulatory public processes, the powers of the regulator, concurrent jurisdictions with other governing bodies etc.
