Pygma Consulting provided a full suite of regulatory and advisory services to a new operator launching in four African Countries. The services provided premised from an overview of key aspects of the telecommunications licensing frameworks, laws and policy environment of targeted African countries, this then facilitated the acquisition of  4G spectrum network licenses and services licenses.

 

Pygma assumed the role of the regulatory  and commercial advisor for three countries out of the four countries launched, one of which Pygma assumed the role of country manager. As part of the operational advice, Pygma also ensure compliance with local ownership regulations.

 

The on-going analysis looked at various market entry indicators, such as number of players, mobile penetration rates, existing operators and market share, population dynamics, electrification and economic growth. These indicators informed the growth strategy and operational strategy for the Operator.

 

The on-going regulatory function looked at the regulatory frameworks and requirements for operations specific to the Operator and provided a detailed regulatory compliance models  for the licensing processes, procedures, fees and related regulatory requirements.
